This is honestly so disturbing but, sadly, not surprising. These harsh sentences just show how authoritarian the Pakistani government is getting, silencing any real opposition by calling them “terrorists.” It’s pretty clear this is less about justice and more about crushing Imran Khan’s party before the next election. No democracy should be locking up political opponents for a decade just because they challenge the status quo. If anything, this just proves how fragile Pakistan’s democracy really is right now.

Looks like another example of the state crushing dissent and using harsh prison sentences to scare anyone who dares to challenge their authority—so much for individual rights or real democracy.
