پاکستان کے وفاقی صحت وزیر، سید مصطفیٰ کمال، نے بیجنگ میں بین الاقوامی فورمز میں ملک کے صحت کی دیکھ بھال کے شعبے میں عالمی سرمایہ کاری اور شراکتوں کی طرف مضبوط اپیل کی ہے۔ انہوں نے پاکستان کی تیزی سے بڑھتی ہوئی آبادی اور متاثرہ پانی سے جڑی بیماریوں کی بلند شرح کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔ کمال نے ملک کی عالمی صحت کے لیے عہد کو اجاگر کیا اور بین الاقوامی شراکت داروں کو پاکستان کی ترقی پذیر صحت کے منظر نامے میں مواقع کا تلاش کرنے کی دعوت دی۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی نوٹ کیا کہ پاکستان عالمی کمی کو کم کرنے میں مدد کر سکتا ہے۔ حکومت صحت کے شعبے کو غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاری اور تعاون کے لیے ایک وعدہ مند علاقہ قرار دے رہی ہے۔
Why are we constantly looking to foreign investors to solve our own problems? Pakistan has so much potential and talent—we should be focusing on building up our own health sector with local resources and expertise. Relying on outsiders just puts our national interests and sovereignty at risk.
It’s about time Pakistan took responsibility for improving their own health system instead of constantly seeking handouts from the international community. If they want foreign investment, there needs to be real accountability and reform, not just another round of empty promises.
